**UM HYMN #140 “Great is thy Faithfulness”
VERSE 1
Great is Thy faithfulness,
O God, my Father.
There is no shadow
of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not;
Thy compassions, they fail not,
As Thou hast been
Thou forever wilt be.
CHORUS
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning
new mercies I see.
All I have needed
Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me.
VERSE 2
Summer and winter, and
springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars
in their courses above,
Join with all nature
in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness,
mercy and love.
CHORUS
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning
new mercies I see.
All I have needed
Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me.
VERSE 3
Pardon for sin and
a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence
to cheer and to guide.
Strength for today and
bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine,
with ten thousand beside.
CHORUS
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning
new mercies I see.
All I have needed
Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me.

PASTORAL PRAYER
LORD’S PRAYER
SCRIPTURE READING Matthew 6:25-34 NIV
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
--
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
--
27 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life?
--
28 And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin,
--
29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.
--
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
--
31 Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’
--
32 For it is the gentiles who seek all these things, and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
--
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
--
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Come, thou almighty King,
Help us thy name to sing,
Help us to praise!
Father all glorious, o’er all victorious,
Come and reign over us,
Ancient of Days!
VERSE 2
Come, thou incarnate Word,
Gird on thy mighty sword,
Our prayer attend!
Come, and thy people bless,
And give thy word success;
Spirit of holiness, on us descend!
VERSE 3
Come, holy Comforter,
thy sacred witness bear in this glad hour.
Thou who almighty art,
Now rule in every heart,
And ne’er from us depart,
Spirit of power!

To thee, great One in Three,
Eternal praises be,
Hence, evermore.
Thy sovereign majesty
May we in glory see,
And to eternity love and adore!

CLOSING SONG “Just as I Am - I Come Broken”
Just as I am without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidst me come to thee
O Lamb of God I come, I come
I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desp’rate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ, the lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God just as I am
Just as I am and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot
To thee whose blood can cleanse each spot
O Lamb of God I come, I come
I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desp’rate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ, the lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God just as I am
Just as I am I would be lost
But mercy and grace my freedom bought
And now to glory in your cross
O Lamb of God I come
I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desp’rate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ, the lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God just as I am
