MINISTRY MOMENT           Youth Ministries

PRELUDE Dr. Banks

INVOCATION (Remain Seated) Liturgist

Gracious God,

We gather not because we have it all together, but because you call us together by grace. Meet us here as one body, shaped not by our differences but by your love. Open our hearts to receive what you offer, and unite us in purpose as we worship you.

Ground us in your grace, draw us closer to one another, and remind us of the call you place on each of our lives.

Amen.

**CALL TO WORSHIP Liturgist

Here O Lord Your servants gather

Hand we link with hand

Looking toward our Savior's cross

Joined in love we stand

As we seek the realm of God

We unite to pray

Jesus Savior guide our steps

For You are the way

Verse 2

Many are the tongues we speak

Scattered are the lands

Yet our hearts are one in God

One in love's demands

E'en in darkness hope appears

Calling age and youth

Jesus teacher dwell with us

For You are the truth

Verse 3

Nature's secrets open wide

Changes never cease

Where oh where can weary souls

Find the source of peace

Unto all those sore distressed

Torn by endless strife

Jesus healer bring Your balm

For You are the life

Verse 4

Grant O God an age renewed

Filled with deathless love

SCRIPTURE READING Jude 1:1-4 NRSV Liturgist

1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are called, who are beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:

--

2 May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.

--

3 Beloved, while eagerly preparing to write to you about the salvation we share, I find it necessary to write and appeal to you to contend for the faith that was once and for all handed on to the saints.

--

4 For certain intruders have stolen in among you, people who long ago were designated for this condemnation as ungodly, who pervert the grace of our God into debauchery and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.,

RESPONSE TO SCRIPTURE Liturgist

Liturgist:  The Word of God for the people of God.

Congregation:  Thanks be to God.

CLOSING HYMN #617 “I Come with Joy”

Verse 1

I come with joy to meet my Lord

forgiven, loved and free

in awe and wonder to recall

his life laid down for me

his life laid down for me

Verse 2

I come with Christians far and near

To find as all are fed

The new community of love

In Christ's communion bread

In Christ's communion bread

Verse 3

As Christ breaks bread

and bids us share

Each proud division ends

The love that made us makes us one

And strangers now are friends

And strangers now are friends

Verse 4

And thus with joy

we meet our Lord

His presence always near

is in such friendship better known

we see and praise him here

we see and praise him here

Verse 5

Together met

Together bound

We'll go our different ways

and as his people in the world

we'll live and speak his praise

we'll live and speak his praise
