WELCOME Rev. Jacob T. Jackson

ANNOUNCEMENTS Liturgist

PRELUDE Dr. Banks

INVOCATION (Remain Seated) Liturgist

Faithful God,

In a world that pulls us apart—by fear, by pride, by difference—

you call us back to yourself and to one another.

Unite us not by uniformity, but by love;

not by agreement alone, but by grace.

Be present with us now,

shape us through your Word and Spirit,

and make us a people who remain faithful to you

and to one another.

Amen.

**WORSHIP SONG “Lord, I Need You” (Matt Maher)

Lord I come, I confess

Bowing here, I find my rest

Without You, I fall apart

You're the one that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You

Every hour, I need You

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more

Where grace is found is where You are

And where You are, Lord, I am free

Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You

Every hour, I need You

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

So teach my song to rise to You

When temptation comes my way

And when I cannot stand, I'll fall on You

Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You

Every hour, I need You

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

You're my one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

SCRIPTURE READING Jude 1:20-25 NRSV Liturgist

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit;

--

21 keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

--

22 And have mercy on some who are wavering;

--

23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; and have mercy on still others with fear, hating even the tunic defiled by their bodies.,

--

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,

--

25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

SERMON “Jude: The Most Holy Faith” Rev. Jacob T. Jackson

**UMH HYMN #355 “Depth of Mercy, Can There Be”

Verse 1

Depth of mercy can there be

Mercy still reserved for me

Can my God His wrath forbear

Me the chief of sinners spare

Verse 2

I have long withstood His grace

Long provoked Him to His face

Would not hearken to His calls

Grieved Him by a thousand falls

Verse 3

I my Master have denied

I afresh have crucified

oft profaned his hallowed name

put him to an open shame

Verse 4

There for me my Savior stands

Shows His wounds and spreads His hands

God is love I know I feel

Jesus weeps and loves me still

Verse 5

Now incline me to repent

Let me now my sins lament

Now my foul revolt deplore

Weep believe and sin no more

CLOSING SONG “Just as I Am - I Come Broken”

Just as I am without one plea

But that thy blood was shed for me

And that thou bidst me come to thee

O Lamb of God I come, I come

I come broken to be mended

I come wounded to be healed

I come desp’rate to be rescued

I come empty to be filled

I come guilty to be pardoned

By the blood of Christ, the lamb

And I’m welcomed with open arms

Praise God just as I am

Just as I am and waiting not

To rid my soul of one dark blot

To thee whose blood

can cleanse each spot

O Lamb of God I come, I come

I come broken to be mended

I come wounded to be healed

I come desp’rate to be rescued

I come empty to be filled

I come guilty to be pardoned

By the blood of Christ, the lamb

And I’m welcomed with open arms

Praise God just as I am

Just as I am I would be lost

But mercy and grace

my freedom bought

And now to glory in your cross

O Lamb of God I come

I come broken to be mended

I come wounded to be healed

I come desp’rate to be rescued

I come empty to be filled

I come guilty to be pardoned

By the blood of Christ, the lamb

And I’m welcomed with open arms

Praise God just as I am

Praise God just as I am

FELLOWSHIP BLESSING Youth Representative

As we move from worship into fellowship,

may the God who gathers us at this table

also bless the tables we share beyond these church walls.

As we eat, drink, and linger together,

may we practice patience, kindness, and grace—

remaining united in Christ,

even when we see differently or walk different paths.

Amen.
