**UMH #191 “Jesus Loves Me”
Jesus loves me! This I know,
for the bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me! This I know,
as he loved so long ago.
Taking children on his knee,
saying, “Let them come to me.”
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me still today,
walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
light and love to all who live.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

LORD’S PRAYER
SCRIPTURE READING 1 John 4:7–12 NRSV Liturgist
7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
--
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.
--
9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
--
10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
--
11 Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
--
12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.
RESPONSE TO SCRIPTURE Liturgist
Liturgist: The Word of God for the people of God.

SCRIPTURE READING John 13:31-35 NRSV Pastor
31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
--
32 If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once.
--
33 Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’
--
34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
--
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
RESPONSE TO SCRIPTURE Pastor

SERMON “Discipleship: Disciples Love Boldly”
Rev. Jacob T. Jackson
**TFWS #2223 “They’ll Know We Are Christians By Our Love”
We are one in the Spirit,
we are one in the Lord;
We are one in the Spirit,
we are one in the Lord;
And we pray that all unity
will one day be restored.
And they'll know we are Christians
by our love, by our love,
yes, they'll know we are Christians
by our love.
We will walk with each other,
we will walk hand in hand;
We will walk with each other,
we will walk hand in hand;
And together we'll spread the news
that God is in our land.
And they'll know we are Christians
by our love, by our love,
yes, they'll know we are Christians
by our love.
We will work with each other,
we will work side by side;
We will work with each other,
we will work side by side;
And we'll guard each man's dignity
and save each man's pride.
And they'll know we are Christians
by our love, by our love,
yes, they'll know we are Christians
by our love.
All praise to the Father,
from whom all things come;
And all praise to Christ Jesus,
His only Son.
And all praise to the Spirit
who makes us one.
And they'll know we are Christians
by our love, by our love,
yes, they'll know we are Christians
by our love.
FELLOWSHIP BLESSING Youth Representative
Gracious God,
Your Word reminds us that if we love one another, you live in us and your love is made complete among us. As we gather now in fellowship, help us to share that love through our conversations, our kindness, and our care for one another.
Bless the food before us, the hands that prepared it, and the community we share. May this time together strengthen our bonds as sisters and brothers in Christ. Amen.
