Our Beliefs
At Bethany United Methodist Church, we share in the faith of Christians everywhere and the heritage of the United Methodist Church. Our faith is centered on God’s grace and lived out in community through worship, prayer, service, and love.

Core Beliefs

  • God’s Grace – God’s grace is freely given to all, drawing us closer, forgiving us, and transforming our lives.

  • Jesus Christ – We believe Jesus is God’s Son, our Savior and Lord, whose life, death, and resurrection bring us new life.

  • The Bible – Scripture is inspired by God and serves as our primary guide for faith and daily living.

  • The Trinity – We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • The Church – The church is the body of Christ, called to make disciples and share God’s love with the world.

  • Faith in Action – We live out our faith through acts of worship, compassion, justice, and service.

The Sacraments

  • Baptism – We baptize people of all ages as a sign of God’s grace, our entry into the family of God, and the beginning of the journey of discipleship.

  • Holy Communion – We celebrate an open table, where all are welcome to receive bread and cup as a reminder of Christ’s sacrifice and a means of God’s grace for us today.

Our Welcome

  • Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors – We welcome all people into God’s family, trusting that God’s grace is at work in every life.
